SEARCHING WASHINGTON'S UNDERGROUND
My intent was to take these images "MetroArt" and to reduce this interior to its simplest forms—a space that is normally regarded as utilitarian, becomes a work of art. All images shouldn’t look like a train station at all. The lack of people elevates my understanding of this place. It begins to look like a futuristic amphitheater or the inside of a space station. These images transforms a set of escalators into a pair of sculptural monoliths. Enjoy these pictures that fully transform our understanding of these objects and interiors. This form of architectural design is called brutalism.
